Building the Skill That Drives Better Decisions
The lack of Critical Thinking is the single biggest contributor to breakdowns, unresolved problems, miscommunication, and poor decisions in organizations today.
The Cost to Your Organization
Poor Critical Thinking results in losing money, low quality standards, preventable injuries, wasting resources, and low performance. It erodes the core values that define your culture and creates a compounding cycle of unresolved problems.
It is a growing challenge because Critical Thinking is rarely taught as part of standard curriculum in public or higher education, leaving organizations to absorb the cost. Every breakdown, missed deadline, and misaligned decision carries a price that compounds over time.
Every person has Critical Thinking strengths and weaknesses. Awareness of your competencies is the first step toward measurable improvement.
When people lack Critical Thinking, they solve problems based on emotional biases, faulty assumptions, and flawed conclusions that lead them to resolve one issue while creating three more unintended problems.
With the increased use of AI, many people are relying on technology to do their thinking for them. This is an error in approach. AI actually requires enhanced Critical Thinking to properly evaluate and discern the options it presents.
GOOD NEWS
Critical Thinking is a skill that can be taught and a discipline that can be improved. Like any important skill, it requires effort to master. The impact of improving Critical Thinking competency benefits people at work, in their personal lives, and even in their relationships with others.
The impact is immediate and demonstrable when applied to a problem or project currently in motion.
DEFINITION
Comprehensive Critical Thinking requires six distinct analysis skills. Each skill targets a different dimension of how we process information and arrive at decisions. Most people are naturally stronger in some areas than others, and that awareness alone creates an immediate opportunity for growth.
